The demolition crews have finally left. Cochrane Street has been reopened to traffic. The corner of Michigan & Trumbull is now officially a vacant, open field.
There are three remnants of Tiger Stadium that remain: the centerfield flag pole, a wall constructed in 1993 along Michigan Avenue when Tiger Plaza was built, and, of course, the field.
I’d say with the state of the economy, there is a good chance that the city-owned property will remain vacant for years. In any event, here are a few images of the site that were just taken today.

is that still the original field and dirt?
and i heard that you can actually go on it and walk on it
Why is there a fence? Are they afraid someone will steal the field or is it considered hallowed ground?
like going to the morgue to claim a body I could hardly look miss that old girl
