I live here in Canada and could not agree with you more...in fact, if anything, you were being too nice. I would have lambasted this false passion that we seem to promote ourselves by. There are many Canadians who do not watch or follow hockey. Canadians are insecure, and it seems like our media programs our citizens to act this way. Detroit is a great sports and hockey city..and have had the best of both worlds growing up watching the Wings and Hockey Night in Canada. Well stated.
